How Does Food Affect Growth

For thousands of years people have known that nourishing food is necessary for health bodies and keen minds. People who are well-fed live longer, are stronger and can do better work than those who do not have enough to eat.

We known how good food affect growth and gives the body energy. Many people eat more than their bodies need, with the result that overweight afflicts most of them. Fast foods, e.g. the hamburgers and pizzas perhaps the most popular meals in large cities are often condemned as junk food. Many nutritionist hold a different opinion. Such foods, they say balance substantial amounts of nearly all essential nutrients. Pizza, for instance, provides protein and fat in its cheese, carbohydrate in its crust, and vitamins and mineral in its tomato sauce.

At least 25 different chemical elements from calcium to zinc are needed to make up the human body. They all come from the ingredients of food.

The basic components of food, lifeless chemical are changed into living cells tissues, and organs. They build the bone, muscle and blood, and replace or replenish body parts that have been damage, worn out or sloughed off. Hair, nails and skin are obvious examples of tissues that are constantly being replaced. So good food is necessary for growth and health bodies.
